After spending two Nova Scotia winters as her grandparents’ live-in caregiver, Jessica’s education and career pursuits were redirected: from fitness and health to optimal aging. Studies in gerontology, retirement communities’ management, and end-of-life coaching, led Jessica to find her passion for aging-in-place. This combination of formal training and life experience informs Jessica’s perspective of how to enhance a holistic approach to care that considers one’s interests and social activities,
as much as their physical needs. As a military spouse, Jessica understands the experience of being distanced from loved ones and seeks opportunities to meaningfully connect families separated by miles. With her own homestead of gardening, chickens, ducks and bees, Jessica believes aging in the comforts of home is the best medicine.
